Silver Apricot arrives in the West Village
July 17, 2020, 12:23.10 am ET
Chef Simone Tong and General Manager/partner Emmeline Zhao have opened their newest restaurant, Silver Apricot, in the West Village at 20 Cornelia Street. While the menu has been scaled back due to the pandemic, diners can expect Chinese-inspired fare made from hometown recipes using local ingredients.
Start with some Scallion Puffs with zhajiang and scallion butter and Cucumber Melon Salad. Larger plates include Grass-Fed Skirt Steak with pickled wild spring onions and multi-grain porridge, as well as, Poached Arctic Char with crispy fish cracklin'. Black Sesame Panacotta is offered for dessert. The beverage list includes 100% domestic wines and beers, highlighting American winemakers and brewers. There's even Sherry Snowcones like the Cornelia Cobbler made with manzanilla, blueberries, shiso and demerara.
Silver Apricot is from the team behind Little Tong. Takeout, delivery, and outdoor dining is available from Tuesday through Saturday from 4:30pm to 9pm. Orders for takeout and delivery may be placed directly from the restaurant at bit.ly/SilverApricot.
