Sugar Factory has arrived in Times Square and it is more than just eye candy. The company operates restaurants across the country, including Queens, is a destination for food and drink as well as satisfying that sweet tooth. It’s also known for its many celebrity fans who grace the walls.

The Times Square location (694 8th Ave, NYC) is an impressive bi-level space with a bar and table seating on the ground level with additional room for guests upstairs. The menu is quite massive with appetizers ranging from Rainbow Sliders to Fried Macaroni and Cheese Pops. There are soups and salads, as well as a whole section dedicated to loaded fries.

Other standouts include Hawaiian Sweet Rolls that serves as the base for sandwiches filled with BBQ Pork with crispy onions to Pastrami with Swiss and everything bagel seasoning. Sandwiches, “monster” burgers, tacos, fajitas and even sushi rolls grace the menu.

And don’t forget the sweets. There are classic shakes (vanilla, strawberry, mango and horchata to name a few) and “Insane Shakes” such as Carnival Fried Oreo, Brownie Volcano Explosion, and Salted Caramel Cheesecake. Kids will go crazy for the sundaes or how about a Pink Unicorn Hot Chocolate.

We counted more than 60 cocktails to try including The Peoples Cadillac Margarita designed and tested by Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson, Peachy Punch designed and tested by Mark Walberg and Bruno Mars, and Candy Shop designed and tested by 50 Cent. Non-alcoholic versions are available for many of the concoctions.

In any event, there is an endless supply of options that both kids and adults will have fun exploring when they’re not busy buying their favorite candies by the pound.
