It doesn’t exactly attach to the Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station, but it comes pretty close. The “connector” is a new section of The High Line made from two pedestrian bridges. It moves East along 30th Street and turns 90 degrees norther along Dyer Avenue. The new path allows pedestrians to bypass busy streets while enjoying the park’s lush greenery featuring 63 trees, 90 shrubs and 5,200 different grasses. It also features a 260 foot long timber bridge reprortedly made of 163 Alaskan yellow cedar, laminated wooded beams. The Connector is the result of a $50 million public-partnership established in 2021 among Friends of the High Line, Empire State Development, and Brookfield Properties.
