New York City's latest culinary trend is tenders, as in chicken tenders. Tender Crush, located at 529 Broome Street, comes courtesy of Chris Barish and Julie Mulligan, the husband-and-wife team behind Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer. Together, they are taking chicken tenders to a whole new level.

Executive Chef Stephen Parker's menu focuses on two preparations - tenders fried to a golden crisp in a club soda and buttermilk batter or grilled with a zesty lemon and spice marinade. Both options come with a variety of house-made dips, including favorites like Buttermilk Dill and Sweet Chili Pop, among others.

In addition to its signature tenders, Tender Crush also offers creative chicken sandwiches named after parts of New York City, like the Staten Island Crunch, featuring their signature "Staten Island" hot sauce and savory toppings, and the Old School NY Crush with lettuce, tomatoes and kosher pickles. The menu also includes sides like Williamsburg Waffle Fries, Park Slope Spicy Kale, Tribeca Truffle Mac, and Chinatown Broccolini, as well as "crushable" desserts like Soft Serve Vanilla Custard topped with black and white cookies, funfetti cake crumbs, blueberry lemon pie filling, and more.

Open daily from 12 pm to 10 pm Sunday through Thursday, and until 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, Tender Crush is the perfect spot for chicken lovers in search of elevated comfort food. Be sure to visit their website for more details.
