The Dead Rabbit is set to debut its next concept at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in the Seaport. Beginning January 10, the festive holiday decor will give way to Joxer’s, an all-new Irish sports bar pop-up that will run through early March before transitioning into the popular “Paddy’s Not Patty’s” St. Patrick’s Day experience.
The name Joxer’s is inspired by Christy Moore’s iconic folk song “Joxer Goes to Stuttgart,” which tells the tale of Irish soccer fans traveling to support the Republic of Ireland at the 1988 UEFA European Championship.
Joxer’s will immerse guests in a vibrant sports bar atmosphere, complete with neon sports signs, memorabilia from major leagues like the NBA, NFL, and NHL, and plenty of large-screen TVs. The Tavern and Cottages will create an elevated VIP box-style setting, offering a full-service food and drink experience.
The menu promises creative Irish-inspired fare and drinks to match the lively ambiance. Featured cocktails include the Joxer’s Irish Coffee (Tullamore D.E.W., hot coffee, salted caramel, whipped cream), Bonus Points Boilermaker (a pint of Guinness paired with a shot of Teeling Small Batch Whiskey, Cacao, and Cassis), and the Zamboni Negroni (Sipsmith Gin, Italian Bitters, Sweet Vermouth, Dunkin’ Donuts Cold Brew, Rhubarb). Food offerings range from Ham and Cheese Toasties and Guinness Glazed Ribs to Corned Beef Tacos and a classic Irish Spice Bag.
Set five stories above the East River, visitors will also be treated to stunning skyline views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, and One World Trade Center. Joxer’s will be open seven days a week, welcoming sports fans and Irish pub enthusiasts alike to enjoy this spirited winter pop-up.
