The Old Homestead Celebrates 156 Years with 30-Cent Dinner and 10-Cent Steaks for One Night Only

The Old Homestead, America’s oldest continuously operating steakhouse, is celebrating 156 years in business with a special one-night event, rolling back prices to 1868. On October 21st, guests can enjoy a three-course prix-fixe menu for just 30 cents, featuring USDA Prime 10-cent steaks.T he 3 course 30-cent pre-fixe menu will be served at the original Meatpacking District location.

The menu includes a classic Caesar salad, a choice of 16 oz Prime New York Sirloin, Filet Mignon, or the 22 oz Gotham Rib Steak served on the bone, with sides like Grandma’s Creamed Spinach and Truffle Mac & Cheese, and their famous cheesecake to finish. Seatings are available from 5 PM to 9 PM, with reservations on OpenTable and walk-ins welcome at the bar starting at 5pm.

As a historic landmark in NYC's Meatpacking District, The Old Homestead has hosted countless legendary figures, from sports icons like Mickey Mantle to entertainers like Liza Minelli and Beyoncè, and even four U.S. Presidents. Owners Greg and Marc Sherry continue to honor its rich heritage, being the first to bring Wagyu beef to the U.S., and now offering this throwback experience, allowing guests to savor a piece of history with a 10-cent steak.
