It is one of New York City’s oldest brasseries and now The Paris Café, established in 1873, has been meticulously restored, is now open to the public once more after surviving Hurricane Sandy and the pandemic. Drink & Enjoy Crew Founder Chris Reda along with White Horse Tavern and the Hunt + Fish Club have teamed up to restore the venue to its former glory with a new menu and late night lounge.
Having previously served such luminaries from Thomas Edison and Teddy Roosevelt to Annie Oakley and Buffalo Bill Cody, The Paris Café is returning to its roots as a Victorian era bar with hand carved details and a classic cocktail program. Drinks include an Old Fashioned; the 1873 with whiskey, rum, peach, lemon and angostura bitters; and Espresso Martini with Reposado, or choose all three as a Cocktail Flight.
The Paris Cafe is featuring timeless American and Parisian fare, such as French Onion Soup and Steak Frites along with classics and a signature Paris Double Smash Burger. When dinner ends the party begins with a lounge offering nostalgic cocktails, bottle service, and amazing music that will transition from day to night with late night bites for revelers. The Parisian Party on Friday and Saturday nights runs until 4am. How’s that for a night in Paris!
The Paris Café is located at 19 South St, New York, NY.
