Torrisi Bar & Restaurant Opens in Puck Building

Torrisi Bar & Restaurant, helmed by Chef Rich Torrisi, has opened in the Puck Building (275 Mulberry Street). This highly anticipated new restaurant from Major Food Group features a high energy bar, a convivial dining room, cozy private dining and al fresco seating.

Chef Torrisi is joined in the kitchen by Executive Chef Charlie England, who formerly served as Carbone’s Chef de Cuisine for five years, and Pastry Chef Stephanie Prida. Their menu includes Hand-Pulled Mozzarella, Stuffed Peppers, B&G Wings, San Gennaro Bao, Spaghetti Gricia, Linguine with Manhattan Clams, Tortellini Pomodoro, Whole Turbo, Short Rib Scottadito, Clam Boule, Jamaican Cavatelli, Lamb alla Judea, and the Bass Dogana. Many of the restaurant’s most popular dishes are prepared tableside.
For dessert, there are elevated Italian Ices with rotating seasonal flavors, including Almond Cheesecake, Sicilian Date Cake, and Grapefruit with Yogurt.
Torrisi Bar & Restaurant’s cocktail list is by Nathan McCarley-O’Neill, whose vision is to create a bar program combining Italian aperitivo cocktails such as Negronis and Garibaldis with classic American icons, like the Martini, Manhattan and Old Fashioned.
In addition, there is a worldly wine selection curated by John Slover, MFG’s Wine Director, and Brad Nugent, Beverage Director, that embraces Italy, focusing on Piedmont and Tuscany, as well as Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Rhône, Napa Valley and other key regions.
