Vintage Green Rooftop Opens in Murray Hill

Vintage Green Rooftop is the ultimate summer playground located on the 16th floor of the Shelburne Sonesta Hotel. It is also the largest rooftop from IGC Hospitality which also operates Refinery, Royalton Park Avenue and Glass Ceiling rooftops.

The 11,000-square-foot space pays homage to the parks scattered throughout the city by combining sophisticated New York City design elements and a charming garden atmosphere that offers spectacular city skyline views, including the Empire State Building, from a wrap-around terrace. You can opt to be part of the crowd or find a more secluded spot with cocktail in hand.

Gusts will also find New York City-centric culinary treats by Chef Chris D’Ambrosio (formerly of Bouley) meant for sharing. Think snacks like chili-lime popcorn and maple siracha mixed nuts; a raw bar with oysters and Petrossian Caviar service; Potato “Knish” Croquettes; a Dry-Aged Vintage New York Hot Dog served on a pretzel bun; and Maine Lobster Rolls. For those wishing to break the bank there is a 38-Ounce Prime Aged Tomahawk Steak with “whacked up” romesco sauce.

Refreshing cocktails include the Lemon Shake-up ({low abv} le moné meyer lemon aperitif, fresh lemons, sugar); On Cloud Nine (grey goose vodka, combier rose, watermelon, lime); Rockaway Surf Club (coconut cartel rum, banana, pineapple, vanilla, fernet branca); and Mister Spicy ({frozen} ghost tequila, coconut, lime, combier orange).

To bring the park experience to life, live entertainers will appear on the rooftop throughout the summer, providing pop-up performances that one might see while strolling through a park – jugglers, musicians, skateboarders, magicians, breakdancers and more.
