PKLYN, a new state-of-the-art pickleball facility, has opened its doors in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Founded by pickleball enthusiast David Friedman, this 18,000-square-foot space at 80 4th Street offers a hub for NYC’s growing pickleball community, welcoming players of all skill levels. The facility features five courts, lounges, and event spaces, all designed to elevate the pickleball experience while promoting social connection.

PKLYN’s design, by Meyers+Associates, blends industrial aesthetics with modern comfort. The courts feature deep purple walls for optimal Pickleball visibility, while skylights, acoustic panels, and a mezzanine with plush seating ensure a premium playing environment. In addition to offering leagues, tournaments, and open play nights, PKLYN hosts a variety of special events, mixers, and custom packages for private events.

The facility also boasts an expansive food and beverage program, with offerings from local favorites like Alidoro sandwiches, beers from Threes Brewing, and cocktails from Social Hour. PKLYN’s space accommodates up to 200 people and will host collaborations with food trucks and other local purveyors.
