Description:
Divine Bar West is a great after work wine bar for a group or for a date. The bar has an inviting lounge feel without the loud club music drowning out your thoughts. There is a traditional bar on the first floor and the second floor offers comfortable couches and chairs to recline in while sipping drinks. Divine Bar West has a small rooftop terrace for drinking al fresco and even offers shelter from the summer rainstorms. The food is excellent and unique with a vast tapas menu. The menu offers tapas from the sea or the land. Divine Bar also offers salads, sandwiches and wraps for those who choose not to share. We tried the Mediterranean Olive Medley with hummus, flat bread and an assortment of juicy olives. We ordered the Napoli Bruschetta spooning large servings of roasted garlic cloves, plum tomatoes and fresh Rosemary over the perfectly toasted bread. Lastly, we sampled the thin-crusted Gourmet Pizza with the chef's daily toppings. Our pizza of the day was designed with cheddar cheese, peppers, chicken and broccoli. The menu pairs a specific wine with each menu choice for your ordering convenience. You can also opt to try one of Divine Bar's wine flights that include a series of wine tasting samples in a specific wine category. Some of the wine flights are broken up by red, white or place of origin. Divine Bar is not just about wine, beer lovers will be delighted with the selection of over 50 ales and lagers from around the globe. We enjoyed the summer special Cranberry Citrus Sangria. It was light and refreshing with a bit of a kick that people often need after a long day at work. Remember to save some room for dessert because the chocolate fondue and fruit platter is a sweet way to finish off the night!   - Jennifer Voit
