Description:
The Freedom Tower located at 72 Vesey Street in downtown Manhattan stands at 1,776 feet and is currently recorded as the tallest building in America and the 4th tallest in the world. The Freedom Tower or One World Trade Center as it is also referred to as is the first of several future towers to be built around the location of the original Towers. Designed by David M. Childs and costing an estimated $3.9 billion dollars the doors are set to open in early 2014. The Tower will feature 105 floors, including 69 offices and 2 restaurants as well as an observatory deck. The Tower can currently be accessed via the MTA Subway 2, 3, A, C, E and R lines. The Tower will most likely become a top tourist destination in the world once it opens it’s doors.
