Description:

Jack Rogers is seated within a prime location on Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side, with high-end boutique shopping and the greenery of Central Park in close quarters. The year old store sells colorful beach and resort wear and, of course, their popular sandals for which they are known.

Since the 1960s, Jack Rogers’ popular Navajo sandals have been selling steadily thanks to their very famous, and very fashionable fan, the former first lady Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis. Coincidently Jack Rogers Vintage’s flagship shop is located a mere few steps from Jackie O’s old apartment, a proper nod to the late fashionista who put them on the map.

Walking into their small shop is like taking a breath of fresh air. The small selection of clothing is bright and vibrant, like an apparel sorbet. Although not exactly cheap, their merchandise is moderately priced and affordable, especially when on sale. For instance, a pleated skirt was marked down from $245 to $122.50 and their drawstring dresses went from $245 to $122.50.

Their ample selection of sandals occupies the second half of the shop. With shelves of wedges, platforms, and flats, there is a summer shoe for everybody. The Navajo sandal comes in a wide variety of colors – pinks, whites, blues, metallic – and costs $105 a pair.

Jack Rogers is the perfect spot to pick up a pair of sandals that will be in style for some time to come, as history has proven.
