It's hard to find anything to do in this city without breaking the bank. So when a friend asked me if I wanted to go play miniature golf this weekend, I had two questions: How far out of the city do we have to travel? and How much will it cost me? I was surprised to find out that we could play mini golf right along the Hudson River for just $5 a game. $5? what in New York City costs $5 these days? Set along the Hudson River, the mini golf course is a perfect way to spend a nice sunny day on the weekend or perhaps a fun activity for a first or second date pre or post dinner. The course is fairly compact, but allows for easy and quick movement so you're never waiting long for the party in front of you to finish their round. The addition of a mini golf course is all part of the reconstruction plan launched in 2006 to revamp Hudson River Park. A skate park, children's playground, beach volleyball courts, and a water taxi dock are a few of the standout draws of the revamped Pier 25 area. Whether you're looking to tee up, spike some volleyballs or simply take a stroll along the waterfront, Pier 25 at Hudson River Park offers plenty of outdoor activities for a day outside in the sun on the cheap in New York City.
