The East Village night spot comes from the same team behind Drexler's and Boulton & Watt. Playful coctktails come with unexpected flavors like The Party Lobster, a riff on the spicy margarita; Doctor Angel-Face, a reimagined Dry Martini, with Japanese shochu instead of vodka or gin with an umami kick; and Cafe Disco combining rye whiskey, olive oil, buckwheat, coffee and absinthe. Large-format cocktails are also available for 2-6 people, along with gourmet shots like The Paradise Pickle-back. Bar bites include fried chicken with habernero or black truffle honey, a take on the Hot Pocket (including the Cubano with pork shoulder, swiss, ham, pickles and mustard), and a greasy, diner-style burger with caramelized onions, and house-made bacon flavored American cheese. As for the space, look for an art deco feel with curvy banquettes, emerald green tile-work around the bar along with a private "red room." >>
