Old Town
Neighborhood: Union Square
Type of Place: Historic Bars & Lounges
Description:
Take one step into Old Town Bar and take one giant leap back in time.
This is one of the city's oldest drinking establishments dating back to 1892. From the massive chandeliers, tin ceiling, and mohagony bar, Old Town gets you thinking about old New York. Maybe it's the Alfred E. Smith for President posters or the dumbwaiter, with its clanging cables, that's still in use today. Either way, Old Town has an old feel and a comfortable one for a drink with friends or a quick meal.
The burgers are drip-down-sleeve juicy and the Brooklyn Pilsner has a nice chill to it, just like Old Town has a nice feel to it. - Sam Sayegh
