Description:
Celebrate Carnival all year long with colorful jewelry and home décor from designer Carlos Sobral, who debuts eight new eye-catching collections each season. Handmade by more than 160 artists in his workshop in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, each piece is unique in color and composition. They are made with natural, repurposed resin and finished in an eight-step process that leaves them brilliantly polished, like little works of art that you can wear.

For 40 years Carlos Sobral has been turning out gorgeous confetti-colored art objects and artful jewelry that routinely appear in popular fashion magazines. His light-filled boutique is stocked with items from his Kandinsky, Chic Shock, Flash, and Cause & Effect Collections that will leave you wowed and surprised. Chunky rings and bracelets, dangling earrings, flirty necklaces, and outrageous home décor like bar stools, picture frames, and candle sticks add splash and finesse to this Soho shop that is overrun in equal amounts with spirit and sass. We love the Pop Art bracelets (from $46) as much as the flowerpots ($140).

Sobral’s selection of delightful evening bags will add a fantastic sense of play to any formal wear, but prepare to discuss what will also likely be considered a conversation piece. And with jewelry prices that start in the $30 range, everyone can afford to join the party   - Joann Jovinelly
