With two locations on Third Avenue and one on Madison, The Shoe Box has become a staple in the fashionable Upper East Siders’ lives. The easy to get to shops with an always-helpful staff makes the boutique full of high-end shoes convenient and comfortable. When I visited the Third Avenue and 77th Street location, the store was having a massive Warehouse Sale, which they hold a few times a year during a season’s end.
The current Winter Warehouse Sale was certainly a blow out, with 50% off already reduced prices, totaling some tags around a 80% off discount. The Shoe Box mainly features the affordable brand Vince Camuto, whose regular priced items fall within the $100 range for flats and sandals, and $250-$350 for rockin’ leather boots with distressed and stud features. During the Warehouse Sale, however, the prices of his boots plummeted just below $100.
Apart from Vince Camuto, The Shoe Box also carries such popular designers as Marc by Marc Jacobs, Frye, Toms, Hunter, Giuseppe Zanotti, KORS by Michael Kors and Stella McCartney, all of which they also massively discount.
Please be aware that The Shoe Box drops prices and holds sales frequently (sometimes even 2 for 1 deals), so Upper East Siders: do make it a point to frequently pass by the store window of your local Shoe Box during your walk home from the subway to assure that you never miss a deal.
