Details:
Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen. Now you can get a taste of Denmark in the heart of New York City. Aamanns-Copenhagen is bringing the experience of smørrebrød to Tribeca, courtesy of founder Sanne Ytting and Chef Adam Aamann. This traditional Danish dish features a select assortment of ingredients atop a slice of fresh rye bread. Think of it as a modern take on a traditional open face sandwich using only locally sourced and organic ingredients.

The menu features a seasonal selection of meats including braised pork breast, beef tartare, free range pork pate, chicken salad and roast beef sirloin; as well as seafood such as sugar-salted salmon, pan-fried white fish, fresh peeled shrimp, and herring prepared in three distinct ways. Each piece of smørrebrød will be dressed with a seasonally rotating variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs, nuts and light, homemade sauces inspired by traditional Danish recipes. Chef Aamann is also making the rye bread from scratch

Aamanns-Copenhagen is open seven days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cheeses, pastries and chocolates are also being served.
