Amuni, a Sicilian-style cafe, has opened in the space once occupied by Burger Bistro on Third Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. An assortment of antipasta, panini sandwiches and desserts are offered along with beer, wine and coffee drinks. Look for dishes like crispy fried artichokes with caciocavallo cheese; mini rice balls with ground beef, peas and mozzarella, a panelle panini with crispy chickpea cakes and fresh ricotta on a toasted roll; and Sicilian-style pizza with homemade tomato sauce and seasoned bread crumbs. For dessert, there are mini cannolis with crushed pistachios & chocolate chips, gelati and tartufo.
