Celebrity chef Art Smith, Oprah Winfrey's former personal chef, has opened Art Bird and Whiskey Bar inside Grand Central with a stylish open-air restaurant where you can eat in or get fried chicken to go. Lunch and dinner options include Addie Mae’s Chicken and Dumpling Soup; Chef Art’s Mix Box which includes two pieces of fried choice, one side and a cheddar biscuit; and a Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich served on a Parker House roll with hot sauce or Green Goddess mayo. A fried chicken chopped salad and “unfried chicken” are also available. Sides include Church Lady Deviled Eggs, cole slaw and cheese grits. Breakfast brings an egg, cheese and chicken sandwich, as well as chicken & waffles. Cocktails, wine and beer are sold along with about two dozen different whiskeys and a touch of Southern hospitality. See more
