Sometime smaller is better. Take this tiny sandwich shop in the Village that cooks up a steak sandwich that is real big on flavor. This is not you typical Philly cheese steak. This one is made with thick portions of juicy steak, not those dried out paper thin slices you'll find elswhere. Heaped on top; melted cheese and a healthy layer of fried onions. All this is set on a kaiser roll with a swath of tangy barbecue sauce. It doesn't get much better than this, but it's definitely an artery clogger. Usually people buy 'em in pairs for 8 bucks, but one may fill you up. The place is tiny with just three or four tables that can seat 20 people tops. And don't be surprised to find a line out the door. The place closes when the fried onions run out!
