An all-day dim sum parlor and coffee shop can now be found in the city's Flatiron District. Baodega, from the folks behind Laut, is serving up traditional dim sum in a stylish space with large sharing tables and exposed brick. The dim sum includes traditional pan fried soup dumplings, Shanghai pork with crab roe dumplings, steamed crystal shrimp dumplings with caviar, and grandma's dumplings (which look more like mini buns) with a pork filling that are quite delicious. Other offerings include traditional scallion pancakes with bacon, noodle soups (including yellow croaker and farmer-style meatball), and traditional dry pot dishes. The restaurant is also serving coffee drinks from Kopi Trading Co., an Asian craft coffee maker. >>
