Bar Dough, as the name suggests, is half bar and half pizza joint. Located in the heart of Restaurant Row in Hell’s Kitchen, there’s a large bar up front with tables along the side and back. Flames can be seen dancing inside a large brick oven where the pies are made fresh to order. Drinks are provided by friendly bar staff and are on the stronger side. There are classics like the Bar Dough Negroni, Bellini and Passion Martini. Small bites include fire roasted meatballs, crispy calamari and mini pork Osso Buco Ribs. Nine different specialty pies are offered like the Hell Boy which gets a drizzle of hot spicy honey and a Mediterranean pie called Nagi‘s Delight. It’s a white pie with za’ater, olive oil and Greek salad. Personal pies and calzones are also available, along with a breakfast pie served late night and for brunch. There's also a prix-fixe deal if you plan on stopping in before or after a Broadway show.
