Chef Masa has opened his new kaiseki restaurant beneath Tetsu in TriBeCa. The three-starred Michelin chef is offering an intimate dining experience, guiding each guest's curated menu. The "meat omakase" includes whole squab, A5 Wagyu beef, Ohms roast beef and whole fish served on a bed of rice. Cocktails are also available, like the Beet Tegroni with tequila, Campari and charred beet, and the Vodka Pear with vodka, pickled Asian pear and kaffir lime. The Basement, located in a landmarked building built in 1865 features Corinthian cast iron columns, exposed brick and a natural wood elements, including a bar made from a thick slab of wood. Dinner is $350 per person, excluding tax, tip and beverages. See more
