Cititour Review:

Bangkok is now Bay Thai, although it appears little has really changed, except for the name.  No nip or tuck for a space in need of a major facelift.  It looks as if the new owners moved right in.  The only real changes appear on the menu.

Chicken sate finds healthy sized skewers, but the chicken is in desparate need of some seasoning. The accompanying peanut butter sauce gets slightly higher marks.  The "Fresh Roll" came loaded up with fresh veggies, including lettuce, carrot, basil and mint.  If only the shrimp were as fresh.

If you like spicy, I would recommend the papaya salad.  It's a simple mix of shredded green papaya, tomato, string beans and peanuts in a delightful chili-lime dressing.  It packs some heat which is a welcome addition.  The Chicken Pad Thai is a solid dish, but the crispy tamarind duck tasted like it spent part of its life confined to a freezer.  Shrimps in a green curry sauce needed more pizazz.

Prices at Bay Thai are moderate and the staff is accomodating, but they'll need to iron out some kinks and spruce up the place a bit if they want customers to return.
