Beautique is debuting its Australian Black Truffle Menu this Wednesday. The truffles are shipped in from Western Australia. Chef Craig Hopson, formerly of Le Cirque, is turning these delicacies into a 4-course, limited-time only menu for $135. It includes Truffle-Potato Gnocchi, Sea Scallops with Shaved Truffle, Veal Tenderloin with a Truffle Sauce, and a Warm Truffle Madeleine with toasted pine nut ice cream. And when the truffles are gone, there's still plenty to like at Beautique. Located just steps away from the iconic Plaza Hotel, Beautique oozes elegance with a modern American menu to match. Start with a Waldorf Salad with smoked trout, apple, celery and walnuts, or maybe some Crab Flan with crisp pork belly. Main courses include a Mixed Grill of Lamb cooked five ways, Red Snapper with melted leeks and Sea Scallops in a diablo sauce.
