Details: Lovers of pork and everything bacon will love Belly at Gansevoort Market. Chef Johnny Wooh is a master serving up the original "bacon sushi" with torched pork belly over nigiri, topped with a dab of wasabi and a drizzle of chili oil. It's amazing. Also on the menu, Chicharron de Belly, cubes of thick-cut bacon, that are infused with a maple-soy glaze. There is "taco belly" along with seared pork belly with hearts of romaine, and something called "get in my belly" made with rice, braised pork butt, chimichuri and fried egg. Breakfast brings crispy bacon with kimchi butter on a roll . During our visit, Chef Johnny also offered us to a piece of Jersey tomato sushi topped with a chicharron crisp. What a wonderful treat! A full 9-course bacon omakase is available during dinner hours. Your belly will thank you. Neighborhood: Meatpacking District Payment: Accepts Credit Cards Latest Cititour News
