Benno, Chef Jonathan Benno's fine-dining establishment at the Evelyn Hotel, is turning its sights to the area where Italy and France intersect at Liguria and Provence with dishes like Olive Oil Poached Sea Trout, Mackerel En Escabeche with kaluga caviar, and Spaghetti Di Grano Arso with clams and sea urchin. A collection of 250 wines from across the Mediterranean compliments the cuisine. The restaurant itself is a luxe affair with marble and brass accents and a stunning 14-foot domed skylight above the main dining area. Plush seating in reds and blues add to the elevated experience along with a 10-seat bar topped in dark honed marble. While luxurious, Benno is also designed to be fun.
