The creator of Max Brenner is back with another chocolate-centric café, called Blue Stripes, on East 13th Street near Union Square. The cafe features an assortment of sweets like chocolate-filled cones, s’mores cupcakes, giant truffles and rocher covered with hazelnuts, and mini lemon donuts for dunking in a bowl of silky smooth chocolate fondue-style (available in milk, dark or white chocolate). Coffee and chocolate-based drinks, including chocolate clouds, are also available along with packaged chocolates and cocoa accessories like a cocoa bean change purse and chocolate shot glasses.
