At Boba Guys on Waverly Place, whose mascot is an aardvark, don’t be surprised to find a line out the door. This San Francisco implant offers a variety of bubble teas made with organic milk from the Strauss Family Creamery mixed with House-brewed heirloom teas and grade-A tapioca “balls.” They also make their own almond and grass jelly from scratch. Flavors include Hong Kong Style with black tea and organic condensed milk, Horchata with rice milk and cinnamon, and Iced Matcha Latte with hand-whisked Japanese green tea. Premium milk teas are also available, including Lychee Green Tea and Indian Chai, as well as specialty iced drinks. Boba Guys motto is “We stand for quality, transparency and giving a damn.” They also like to think of themselves as being “ballsy.”
