Owner Daniel Angerer of Klee (which is just around the corner) visits his Austrian roots with Brats, a new spot for weiner lovers. The place resembles an old-time diner with most of the seating at the counter.
All of the sausages here are handmade and matched with their own mustard. They're served on a soft roll with liebstockel sauerkraut or choose your own topping. The menu boasts a traditional beef wiener with horseradish mustard ($8), bratwurst with candied apple mustard ($8.50), and a "Dragon Weiner" stuffed with a pig sausage and red kimchee with a spicy Sriracha mustard ($8.50). Or break the bank with a "Japan Dog" made with Takaushi beef, house pickles and topped with burnt onion ketchup ($25.50). Brats is also dishing up excellent potato salad. There's also beer, wine and sake.
