Details: Būmu, which means "boom" in Japanese, is Momofuku veteran Joaquin Baca's new Izakaya-style restaurant in Greenwich Village. Look for charcoal-grilled yaki skewers, including Baby Octopus with shitake & horseradish and Crispy Pork Belly with pineapple and hoisin. Forward-thinking small plates are also being offered like Fried Oysters with smoked yam puree and Grilled Mackerel with kinpira goba and umeboshi. The space is inspired by traditional izakaya restaurants of Japan. It features a large, horseshoe-shaped copper bar, booths and hightop tables. The beverage program is centered on beer and sake from Japan. >> Neighborhood: Greenwich Village Latest Cititour News
