British import Burger and Lobster is sinking its claws into Times Square. This is it's second U.S. location. It also operates a restaurant in Flatiron. A tunnel made of lobster traps leads the way. The first thing you will see are the tanks holding an assortment of lobsters ranging from a few pounds to one weighing nearly fifteen pounds that could feed an entire table. Diners get to pick their own. Upstairs there is a full bar lining an entire wall with an adjacent dining room.
Start with some lobster or burger bites or move right to the main course. Lobster rolls are popular here. There are four varieties including one made with ginger mayo, cucumber and cabbage, and another called The Po' Boy with cornmeal-crusted lobster with a spicy remoulade. Lobsters are sold by the pound with prices starting at around twenty bucks. You can also get combo; the house burger and 1-lb lobster for $35. it's served with a side salad and fries. Lobster arrive either steamed or grilled with a choice of sauce. The burger, a nice juicy patty, comes loaded up with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and B&L sauce. It's very good.
Burger & Lobster is the perfect place to go before or after a Broadway show, or to share some food and drinks with friends. See more
