Cititour Review:

Frank and Eddie's Butcher Bar is the perfect spot to kick back, enjoy a few brews and some dynamite grub without breaking the bank.

We dove into a plate of homemade jalapeno poppers loaded with molten cheese and wrapped in crispy bacon.  Spice, cheese, bacon; who doesn't like that, especially with an icy cold beer to wash it all down.  In need of more spice?  Buffalo wings dripping with hot sauce make an excellent choice, accompanied by a tangy blue cheese dip.  The wings are plump and chock full of chickeny goodness.  My son raved about his cheese dog smothered in homemade chili.  I'm a big fan of the roast pork sandwich topped with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe.  It's a great combination.

You will also a nice selection of burgers, including a Bell & Evans turkey burger.  There is also a short rib sandwich and Frank's Famous Roast Beef sandwich made with slow roasted angus top round with homemade mozzarella on top.  Sides include mac and cheese and oversized onion rings.

Everything we tried at the Butcher bar was fresh, maybe because it all comes from the butcher shop right next door.  Service is friendly, although it can be a bit spotty when they're busy.  But the real deal is the beer.  I don't know many places in the city selling quality bottled beers at under 5 bucks a pop.  Our dinner for three, with beer, came in at under sixty dollars.  It doesn't get much better than that!
