Cafe Espanol offers a mix of Spanish and Mexican food.Review By: Benny Prim
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but the food is just fair.
The clams in garlic sauce were swimming in oil. The paella was good, but skip the lobster which was shriveled and tasteless.
The one saving grace - the Sangria which was excellent.
Dinner for two with a pitcher of Sangria ran about $60. Service is very good. Major credit cards accepted.
Cafe Espanol, located in the "Heart of Greenwich Village"on Bleecker Street, offers patrons a wide variety of authentic Spanish cuisine. Specialty items include paella flavored with real wild saffron, imported Spanish manchego cheese and Serrano ham or imported pulpo, all to highlight the diner's experience! -- Cafe Espanol
