Details: The folks behind Vini e Olii in Clinton Hill have opened Camillo, a new Roman-style restaurant in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. The space itself is rustic with lots of reclaimed wood, exposed brick, floor-to-ceiling windows and a full bar. As for the food, Camillo uses a unique blend of wheat, rice flour and spelt to create its crispy thin-crust pizzas. Look for offerings like the Capricciosa with artichokes, mushrooms, prosciutto cotto, olives, tomatoes, and mozzarella; and the Pinsa al Tartufo with scarmorza cheese, asparagus, and imported Italian black truffles. Classic Roman pastas are also being made, including gnocci with pork sausage; and cannelloni with roasted lamb and artichoke. Larger plates include goat roasted with anchovies and rosemary along with fried chicken served with a medley of fresh vegetables and sage. See more Neighborhood: Prospect Lefferts Garden |
