Cititour Review:
Chiles and Chocolate is a new spot in Park Slope, Brooklyn specializing in the cuisine of southern Mexico. The space is decorated with oversized mirrors and ornate wooden chairs and tables that look like they might belong in a Mexican palace.

The signiture dish is Moles Oaxaquenos ($15), which offers several types of meat smothered in one of three traditional moles; red, green or black. We sampled the Moles Negro, slices of stewed pork smothered in a delicious sauce made from dried chiles and chocolate, and sprinkled with sesame seeds. You'll also find guacamole with fried grasshoppers on top ($7) and grilled duck breast in a peanut chocolate chipotle sauce ($16). There are also tamales sweetened with Oaxacan chocolate and golden raisins ($4) and Mexican style hot chocolate with ground cinnamon and almonds ($3)

Chiles and Chocolate still has some minor kinks to iron out, but it's authentic Oaxacan cooking adds some spice to city life.
