Chef David Bouley's latest efforts paysReview By: Mabel Jong
dreamy tribute to Austria.
With heavy velvet drapes shielding your eyes from modern day New York, you'll be tranported back in time to a 19th century Austrian fantasy complete with candlelight and Austrian waltzes to serenade your every bite.
Speaking of food... it's still in question, whether the fare is authentically Austrian, but Captain Von Trapp should have had it so good. Bouley takes Weiner schnitzel and transforms it into Alpine haute.
Save room for dessert... the semisweet ice creams will make you wish you could buy it at every street corner. But that would most certainly put you in the poor house.
About $80 per person. Major credit cards.
