Details:
Staten Island's favorite slice is now available in Greenwich Village. Denino's Pizzeria & Tavern is up and running in a beautiful location on MacDougal Street. Denino's which dates back to the 1930s, first began serving pizza in 1951 and has been drawing raves for its pies ever since. The thin-crust pizzas come topped with things like clams with garlic and parsley, as well as sauteed broccoli rabe. The "M.O.R" pie gets meatball, fresh onion and ricotta, while the "garbage Pie" gets a little bit of everything. Denino's also offers Italian specialties like fried calamari, riceballs and scungili (sea snail) served hot, medium or sweet. Hero sandwiches and pasta dishes are also available. And what would an Italian joint be without cannolis for dessert.
