Encore is a fresh arrival in the Meatpacking District brought to you by Executive Chef Jean Imbert and restaurateur Eric Cerato. Imbert, who won Top Chef France, operates three restaurants in Paris and a fourth in Miami. At Encore, look for dishes that rely on local organic ingredients like Pork Ribs with honey and Pomme Anna (made with layers of sliced potatoes and lots of melted butter); Sea Bass with mushroom and tomatillo; and Whole Chicken with sweet potato and chili. There are Prawns with Curcuma (turmeric) and fennel, along with Onion Pie. Desserts bring Alizé Soufflé with Lemon Surprise, and the "Exotic Sphere" with Black Sesame. Encore is located along the High Line between Chelsea Market and the Whitney Museum in a red brick building built in 1887. The restaurant seats 175 guests upstairs with a private dining room downstairs. See more
