Details:

Gertie is a spot where you can drop in all day for food and drink. Breakfast brings things like bialys with smoked salmon, cream cheese and pickled beets, or eggs made your way. There are fresh baked goods, rotisserie meats, pot pies and veggie melts. There's even whole rotisserie duck, called Poppy's Duck, served family style with scallion pancakes and everything fried rice. Boozy sodas, house wines and cocktails are also available. The 70-seat space is light and airy with an outdoor patio and community and event space downstairs. Owner Nate Adler, a managing partner in Huertas, named the restaurant after his favorite, and most colorful Queens-born-and-raised grandmother, Gertie. >>
