Hometown Barbecue is now up and running at Industry City.  Like the Red Hook location, diners order from carving stations and dine picnic style. One thing this location has that the other lacks is outdoor seating under string lights. It already looks like a hot spot for young families. Diners will find a nice selection of cue ranging from brontosaurus size beef ribs ($30 a pound but worth every penny - Saturdays only), spare ribs, pulled pork, brisket, smoked turkey and something new, pastrami on rye. Assorted tacos are also being sold along with sides of smoked pit beans with burnt ends, Texas-style queso mac + cheese  and crunchy bread-and-butter pickles. For dessert, there’s banana pudding with a dab of fresh whipped cream. Another thing you will find at this location is a large dining space that can be reserved for private events.
