Banh mi shop JoJu now has a location in Midtown offering a modern take on this classic Vietnamese sandwich. Served on a crispy baguette, the sandwiches can be filled with things like lemongrass chicken, caramel pork, beef bulgogi and vegetarian ham. Diners can also choose from a number of different toppings like spicy mayo, green sauce and jalapeños. Fried egg and spring roll bites can als be added for an extra fee. The same elements can be applied to rice and salad bowls. Double-fried fries with assorted toppings are also offered along with “crunchy monster” spring rolls. Vietnamese coffee and lemon Thai tea are also offered.
