Finally, Starbucks has some real competition from some folks that really do know how to roast coffee. Juan Valdez Cafes are gaining a foothold in the city, and I for one couldn't be happier. A stop at a new Times Square edition on Broadway and 43rd Street left us delighted with the rich aroma and flavor of Colombian coffee, not to mention the buzz we got. It is a very strong brew. The cafe also knows how to make a proper cappucino, with a thick head of foam. Judging by the crowds, we're not alone. Exelente!
