Cititour Review:

It's a cross between ice cream and pizza.  New York now has its first ever pizza cone, and pizza may never be the same again.

K! Pizzacone on Fifth Avenue between 32nd and 33rd street has come up with their own take on this Italian creation.  The owners telling us it took six months to come up with the perfect crust that held its cone shape and didn't drip from the bottom, although slirping mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce from the bottom of a cone doesn't sound too bad.

The cones are made to order at what looks like a salad bar.  You get to pick from toppings like pepperoni, mushrooms, jalapenos, sausage and bacon, or get a simple cheese and tomato.  The cones take about five minutes to cook up and the result is delicious.  Or, as my 9-year old put it, "That's the best pizza cone I ever tasted!"  Prices range from $4.90 for a small to $5.90 for a large.   Extra toppings start at 50 cents.The shop is also serving up dessert cones like Banana Flambe & Chocolate, and Chocolate with Mixed Berries ($3.90/$5.50).
The "pizza cone" - one more reason to love New York!
