Karakatta is spicing things up at its new ramen restaurant in Greenwich Village. Chef Takatochi is manning the kitchen. His restaurant, Bigiya, in Tokyo was named one of the top 22 ramen restaurants by Michelin Tokyo in 2015. Karakatta is offering three different spice levels for its ramen dishes which include Spicy Ginger Stamina, Butter Miso, Taka's Shoyu and Spicy Veggie Curry. Appetizers include jumbo pan fried dumplings, pork belly buns with hoisin and sriracha, and Japanese fried chicken, called Karaage. Sake, Japanese beers and wine are also being sold.
