It's not often you find a mash-up of Italian and Japanese cuisine. At Kimika in NoLita, Chef Christine Lau is diving in head first with exciting dishes that pay homage to both cultures with the freshest ingredients. Some of those dishes include Tortellini Ozono with shrimp, prosciutto and mocha; Crispy Rice Cake Lasagna with sweet Italian sausage; and Rigatoni with pork ragu and mustard greens. Pizzette Fritte is also offered including one topped with mortadella and miso ricotta, and another with prosciutto di parma, mizuna and onion jam. Larger plates feature Porchetta with crispy pork belly and miso mustard. For dessert, there is mochi bomboloncini with Nutella, toasted sesame and hazelnut. How do you say mangia in Japanese?
