The foods of Southern France and Italy come alive at King, a breezy restaurant on the corner of King Street and Sixth Avenue. Grab a seat at one of the outdoor tables if you can and enjoy a glass of wine from a carefully-curated wine list and relax. The menu changes daily with dishes like marinated lobster with peas, parsley and capezzana; rabbit and sage saltimbocca with capers and spinach; and grilled wild snapper with coco blanc, spinach and parsley. Farm fresh meats are brought in for dishes like roasted quail served with pangrattato, heirloom tomatoes, borlotti with a mustard vinaigrette. Even a light crisp dripping with olive oil and fresh rosemary is worth diving into. For a sweet finish, there's a chocolate tart, pistaccina and tiramisu. The staff at King is super friendly and helpful. Overall, a wonderful experience.
