The true test of a Jewish deli is its matzo ball soup. At Kosher Deluxe in the Diamond District it's buried in a menu offering everything from burgers and sushi to Chinese food and shwarma. But don't pass it up. The broth is rich, not too salty, made with chunks of chicken and a fairly large matzo ball dropped in the center. At around six bucks, it makes for a nice light meal. The restaurant also offers traditional deli sandwiches like hot pastrami and corned beef served with a pickle and cole slaw. - Thomas Rafael
